The mission of the New Hampshire Teachers of Mathematics is to provide vision and leadership in improving the teaching and learning of mathematics so that each student is ensured quality mathematics education and each teacher of mathematics is ensured the opportunity to grow professionally.

· Want to engage students while focusing on content area standards? A full day in-person training July 16, 2025 in Nashua and a later 2-hour virtual training in Fall 2025 (TBD). The purpose of the professional learning will be to learn about: This PD will focus on creating three simple classroom routines customized to your content area and grade level context that will promote student engagement by building on background knowledge, encouraging student interaction, and developing strong literacy skills. Classrooms that:
lead to more engaged students better prepared to communicate their understanding of the content area. You will meet in content area and grade level specific groups to discuss these strategies and how to make them work in your context. This work builds off lessons learned with authors Grace Kelemanik and Amy Lucenta in an NHED-funded Routines for Reasoning book study.
